US mobile network company Verizon has announced the availability of Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, a new service that integrates mobile devices with Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
Claiming to be the first operator in the United States to enable subscribers to use their mobile device’s native dialer software to receive calls as a Teams endpoint, Verizon launched Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams to create a unified business communications experience.
“This is another example of how we can help customers adapt and succeed in today’s changing workplace by providing the flexibility to work from anywhere,” said Sampath Soumyanarayan, CEO, Verizon Business.
Verizon lists the main benefits of the new collaboration:
Number one simplicity: Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams gives employees the flexibility of being able to work from virtually anywhere without losing context or business presence.
Call quality: Teams calls made using the smartphone dialer are treated as voice calls on the Verizon LTE network
Call Transfer: Allows users to move between devices and Teams endpoints during a call without dropping the call
Cost savings: With an integrated calling solution that can replace standalone solutions, Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams helps reduce costs while keeping employees connected
Security: The ability to enforce secure, compliant work policies on all employee communications
With Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, organizations can have a unified mobile communication and collaboration experience that lowers cost and reduces security risk.

Activate HYBRID CLOUD & REDUCE NETWORK WHITEPAPER
The hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds enabling companies to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control you can get from on-premise infrastructure.
Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of compression and data deduplication can reduce network latency.
Research firm Markets and Markets has forecast that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from $38.27 billion in 2017 to $97.64 billion by 2023.
Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while maintaining physical control of your systems.
Cloud convergence provided by co-location facilities can enable you to take advantage of high-bandwidth, low-latency connections to the cloud as well as provide a robust connection back to your local corporate network.
